Course Overview

In February 2021, President Biden solemnly marked a somber milestone: more than 500,000 Americans lost to COVID-19.

That number continues to climb. As new variants emerge and threaten the progress that vaccines have made in defeating the disease. SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, shows no signs of giving up peacefully. Instead, it’s a battle between prevention efforts – like the vaccine – and a virus that keeps dodging them.

In this course, we’ll review what we know so far about the virus, and what we’re learning. Then, you’ll get a glimpse at available efforts to stop COVID-19, how the virus is fighting back – and what you can do about it.
